Hi, I’m Cher Young, a children’s book author and illustrator with a passion for whimsical, heartwarming stories that spark imagination and bring joy to young readers. I love creating bold, colorful worlds filled with adventure, laughter, and endearing characters that capture the magic of childhood.

Storytelling has always been a part of who I am. As a child, I spent hours lost in books, dreaming up my own tales, and sketching my favorite characters. That love for storytelling grew with me, and now I get to share my imagination with young readers everywhere. With a background in elementary education and children’s photography, I understand how kids engage with stories and illustrations, and I pour that knowledge into every book I create.

My books are filled with quirky humor, playful storytelling, and heartfelt messages. Whether it’s a mischievous fox on an adventure, a lovable pup with a unique personality, or a journey of self-discovery, each story is designed to delight and inspire. My illustrations bring my characters to life, blending paper collage and digital painting to create a warm, inviting style that resonates with children and the grown-ups who read to them.

Now living in Boston, I’m always dreaming up new tales and working on exciting projects. Whether I’m writing, illustrating, or designing, my goal is simple: to make children giggle, imagine, and fall in love with stories.
